General Information:

Photography has enabled me to interact with the world in new and different ways. It has allowed me to enter worlds that would normally have been forbidden and to enter and share the dreams of many who are on a similar journey, to points unknown and left uncharted.

It has allowed me, as a fellow photographer would say, to dream out loud, to visualize, to find willing partners, and to create. I met a photographer who had found a simple piece of plaid cloth that was perfect for a tribal shoot with Masai jewelry. She felt the same euphoria that I felt after finding a strand of licorice that I needed for my project; we connected instantly like kindred spirits along a lonely highway.

Like the medium and the technology, my community is ever expanding. I have watched make-up artists spend hours on perfecting a layer of blush and stylists taking joy in sweeping a strand of hair over one shoulder. I have worked with models that made me wonder what it is like to be so beautiful that people would pay them money just to take pictures of them.

What a world and what a vibrant community, hidden to most except to those willing to pursue their dreams. It has been said that beginners worry about equipment, professionals worry about cash flow, and that masters worry about light. What will you worry about tonight?
