Originally from Bremen, a seaport in Northern Germany, I am a seafaring artist/designer living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. My work, strongly influenced by mermaids, is in capturing the art and beauty of worn and weathered ship's hulls and create silk fashion from it. At present I design a line of resort wear, and my silk scarves and sarongs are already selling in high-end boutiques across the country. My abstract design style has been favorably compared to high end designers of Paris. My aim is a cosmopolitan art and fashion show in St. Tropez? Milan? Berlin? I will have a partial show of my work in November 2008 in San Francisco. My coming out piece is the kimono made of my art on silk. In all, my studio is a one stop production from design to photo shoot to marketing. For studio or open air work in general, I want my photography to capture a story which the model expresses in physical poetry. I will pay for time and travel expenses when needed, but will also consider TFP/TCD work if it is for the model's or MUA's portfolio building.
