I started in Photography when I was young and picked it up again in 1995, I have since worked and photographed many things and for many reasons. It is not my main employment right now but more of a secondary role as I work as a writer and occasionally an artist of sorts. For many years I have been an industrial / historical photographer. Employed by individuals, magazines, goverments, churches, and even myself through my business. I also get drafted for the occasional family or friends wedding as well.
Model photography is a passion for me that I tend to do on the side more than a main focus. I have an interest in the glamour arts such as pinup works from the past and industrial settings. My favorite one is Railroads. I have a lot of expertise in this field from my main job and incorporate it in projects where I can. I also like to push the envelope by trying different things. I preffer natural lighting over studios but have experimented with great results with different flash techniques. Recently I have had a continuous run of published photos in magazines I write for because I like to try different things. I have also been working on promos and recreation of old photograph projects, I find them lots of fun. More recently I have ben doing a lot of Biography work and corporate photographs which in turn end up in magazines and advertisements.
One of my other passions is pushing what some may consider lesser technology. I have always been one to try to make my equipment perform better and even beyond what some manufacturers intended. This comes from using cameras in hazardous conditions. I rely on more affordable cameras for high quality results. The proof is when I get more published with them more than I do with my larger more expensive stuff. I was inspred by this when I saw some of the images from fashion and celebrity magazines that were made with low cost end cameras with fantastic results. There was one photograph that was even made froma camera created out of a cardboard box! Nearly every photographer has an old cheap reliable friend around that they use in a pinch, I guess mine became my best friends. As they say its not what you use, its how you use it. I use both digital and still enjoy film, though it is getting harder to find the emulsions I want and more expensive to process. I am used to doing everything from the point of a photojurnalist, shot in the morning, magazine has it by afternoon, printer is laying it out by evening.
If you decide you want to work with me and visa versa I am somewhat flexible, since my job is generally all hours. I do not mind doing TFCD work at all and I do pay models for some work such as calendars or special projects. I also do an annual workshop for amatuers (photographers and models)and others to shoot on location, these are generally paid events for the models. I am also not looking for a date or anything that isn't proffesional and contractual. When I got my first taste of working with proffesional models a few years ago I was hooked. Their commitment to their trade was truly evident and since then I look for that kind of quality in all the models I use. I also have other model page sites but I like OMP the best, the type of models I have used from here are in most cases proffesional or close enough to it.
If you need more refferences contact any of the models below. I may be a bit unorthadox in my approach to photography but the interest is genuine and my commitment to proffesionalism is a high priority to me.
I just wanted to pay tribute to some of the great tallent I worked with the last couple years: Tamara 58256, Wonderful and tallented, will go far, if you haven't already. Maritza 48017, Has a beautiful ethinic look, fun to work with. Worked with twice. Kelly 34934, Someone I expect to see up on a billboard selling cosmetics or high fashion, yes you are that good! Worked with twice, hope to do more in the future. Kim 137112, A lot of Fun, beautiful
