     General Information 
    I have had a love of photography for as long as I can remember. Some say I get it from my namesake, Uncle David, who was a photography enthusiast and a part-time professional photographer for many, many years until his death. I can remember going over to Uncle David's home studio and marveling at all of his photography equipment.

    From small toy cameras to my many Instamatic cameras, growing up my camera was one of my favorite "toys." I got my first 35 mm SLR Camera in 1983., a Sears version of a Pentax K-100. It seems a long time ago since that day.

    Beginning in 1984 I became a restaurant manager for Domino's Pizza. I worked in that field for 15 years for many chains all over the U.S. until 1999 . Most importantly to my photography, however, was that working for Domino's exposed me, through friends at Domino's, to the exciting extreme sport of paintball very early in the sport's history.

    It was paintball that started my exciting career as a freelance writer/photographer. I began submitting articles and photos in 1993 as a paintball field operator to promote my field that I owned. Well seems the publishers liked my talents and I began freelancing part time for paintball publications beginning with Paintball News magazine. From that point I continued to play paintball and take photographs and write stories about paintball. In the pinnacle of my career I was publishing each and every month in most of the major paintball publications. From 2001-2003 I was the Chief U.S. Editor for FaceFull magazine the world's largest circulated magazine. FaceFull is actually published in Paris, France and is referred to as the GQ of paintball because of the publisher's roots in the fashion business in Paris and the influence thereof on the publication. I also played at many of the events I covered including seasons on the college circuit and a season with the National Professional Paintball League.

    In 2002, working full time, going to school full time, and writing and taking pictures proved too tough. As I tell the story that in the height of the paintball season I was in a different city every weekend. When I woke up in Pittsburg one morning, showered, got dressed and went outside and did not realize where I was, I decided it was time for a change. While I slowed down a lot, I completed the season, but the season would be my last and I almost totally retired at the end of 2002. I still write and still play on very rare occasions. I do miss it and may return some day but for now.........

    That was, of course, not the end of my photography. Photography had been a part of my world before paintball and it would remain even after paintball. In January of 2004 I decided I wanted to delve into portraiture and for photographing models. Like everything else in my life, there has been no stopping since. I have studied and studied, reading books, taking seminars, and practicing the craft as much as I can. I even hang out with some of the best photographers in the area and learn from them as much as I can. Yes, I am extremely competitive and want to be the best that I can be. Most every week I am shooting something, though.

    In addition to photographers I hang out with, my influences are the glamour type photographs in Maxim and Stuff Magazines (among others) . I also am influence by many photographers specializing in fine art type photography. With all of this studying, hanging out with different photographers, etc. I hope that I have developed my own unique artistic glamour type photographic style.


    I am currently in a world far from home in southwestern portion Central Asia doing a bit more than photography. I do still, though, carry my camera. Yes, Pics coming here soon. I will only be available when I am home and as I travel throughout the world.
