Marc "Marcus" Sroge is a published and award winning Chicago area photographer. He specializes in creating aesthetically powerful and captivating images including: fashion, headshots, portraits, dance, editorial, advertising and event photography. As a student, semi-pro and professional photographer - Marc’s body of work spans over 20 years. His passion for photographic excellence is driven by a fervent love of photography and design. His experience as a ad/marketing exec provides him with a heightened sensitivity to budget, deadlines and maximizing client value as well as creating compelling images for his clients. Many of his original images are featured, Spotlighted and Showcased by the three largest model-photographer hosting websites on the internet today. His original image entitled "Beach Dane" has been jury selected and will be shown at the The DreamBox Foto Gallery, Chicago Illinois.
The scope of Marc’s photography encompasses a colorful gamut of unique, interesting and challenging photo shoots and assignments. They include: PAMCANI (corporate event), RASA Dance Chicago, Glamour Fashion Runway, Dr. Wax Records (rap contests), AAFC Chicago, The Highland Games, Orchesis Dance, The Daily Herald - "Lombard Standoff," Akira Fashion (runway), Ameba Dance, Shahina Middle-Easter Dance, Robert White (multi-media artist), Rebeats Vintage Drum Show, Sonya Souk Oriental Belly Dance as well as numerous fashion, headshot, portraiture, dance editorial and event clients. Marc currently teaches digital photography workshops in the Western suburbs of Chicago.
Marc’s shooting style is fashion - people and design oriented. He shoots more free-hand versus tethering himself to the restrictions of a tripod (or computer) - when a shoot permits. He is intuitively attuned to the elements of space, shape, color and figure-ground relationship. His innate inquisitiveness and intuitive eye aids him in breaking from convention and redefining the rules as any given situation might dictate. His passion for creating compelling images - proven versatility and dedication to quality are the underpinning of his success to date.
Marc is available for studio, location and remote shoots both domestically and internationally. He is on-call 24/7 for assignments that require an intuitive eye and dedication to producing winning results in a timely fashion.
