Aloha and welcome to the new profile for Kevin Lash Photography, formerly Island Art Images. I am an artistic photographer that enjoys working with models, especially in shooting the human form in the beautiful outdoors. However, in no way is this all that I do or that interests me.
I also have great interest in cultural photography as well as in incorporating the beauty of Hawaii into my photo-shoots; sunsets on the beach and Hana locations are my favorites. I am very interested in Hula and in documenting Polynesian culture photographically.
I do NOT pay models. If in the rare case I am hired to do a shoot and have any say in who will be the model(s) I will be very specific about this when I contact you. If I want to work with you and you agree it will be on a TFCD basis. My terms for TFCD are pretty standard, however, I am somewhat flexible in that framework as well. (My standard contract does include a clause that give the model a generous percentage of sales should any images we shoot together generate future sales.)
I shoot weddings all the time and it is a great industry but there are limitations to the creative realms that one can explore in this genre. I want to collaborate and have fun shooting with you so please have something to bring to the table. The primary goals of my shoots are to have fun, be creative and to create professional, artistic and/or insightful and intelligent photos for the models I collaborate with.

As I inferred earlier, this is something I do to explore my art from a different place than my main vocation but this does not mean I am not serious about following through with communications and especially shoots; I expect the same from the models I work with.
All TFCD shoots are DIGITAL. I do shoot film, however, only on a HIRE-BASIS.
