General Information:

One of the things I enjoy most about working with the medium of photography is the opportunity that it provides in terms of crossing boundaries both physically and socially. In many ways my camera has been like a passport to me, offering me a privileged opportunity to experience life from a unique perspective.

In order for a portrait to come alive the subject must bring to the picture something personal. Without this the picture becomes two-dimensional and risks being a cliché. Comfort with ones self is required for one to be comfortable in front of the lens.

I do not believe in becoming overly fixated in achieving a particular photographic outcome, especially if one has not worked with a subject before. For me photography is very much about being in the present moment.
