Hi and thank you for stopping by to look at my work.....
Attitude is everything. So many models who are already more beautiful than most people on this planet, have days where they are challenged to feel their beauty even on the day of the shoot. I like to look at their inner and their outer beauty, and use makeup to energize their attitude, get them excited about the shoot, and be in the mood to perform!
With background in art and digital printing, I enjoy makeup, photography and sometimes modeling...the full art experience of being "both the art and the artist". When I draw, I like to bring out the beauty of the subject onto the page. Below is a pencil drawing of a well known model I created at the beginning of my career. Many people see it up close and think it's a photo! I also love photography, both shooting as in some of the photos below... but I especially enjoy collaborating with photographers, both as the makeup artist and assisting on the shoot!
When I do makeup, I like to look at the face and body as a palette, and "paint" or "draw" upon it to bring out beauty, fun, and surprise. Sometimes its just to enhance their natural beauty, sometimes to glamorize, sometimes to create an effect. I also like to get the photographer's and the model's input to make sure we are on task of creating the image that's envisioned for the shoot.
My partner is also an artistic photographer and I love creating art & photgraphy together. We are very similar in our taste and what we see through the camera...so similar that at times we'll do a shoot together and as we are editing the shots we don't recognize who shot what...it makes it all really fun to be a team. We also enjoy working as a team with other photographers.
