Steve, you are the best!!! --- Alright, so i've been at this for a while now. At first, I would take any and every job that came to me... which got me into trouble. Then - as most new successful models' heads tend to do (or so i've noticed) - my head exploded and I became a snob and would only work for cash and with the already well-known "best of the best" and I ended up severing a lot of good creative outlets and connections, and worst of all, I lost touch with the passion that brought me to modeling in the first place. After that, I spent a few months trying to find myself without causing a gap in my career, that didn't work at all and I can tell you EXACTLY why (wow, hindsight really is 20/20...): IT DID NOT WORK BECAUSE I THREW MY ESSENCE OUT THE WINDOW AND BECAME A HOLLOW EMPTY SHELL, A BLANK SLATE THAT ANYONE COULD JUST MOLD TO FIT THEIR NEEDS - NEVER DO THAT TO YOURSELF!!! After a few months of being the modeling industry's marionette I decided that I needed to take a personal hiatus for a few months, become reacquainted with WHY I started modeling in the first place (believe me, it wasn't to blend into a faceless mass amount of people!), let the passion that I felt when I was a new model come back and HAH, now I feel fantastic! I feel alive again - I feel like I won myself back, and with that, my self-respect and self-confidence. I finally took the time to lear all about ME...which is good, because heh... seemed like I was the person who was the least familiar with myself. And, after some soul-searching and life-planning, I made a few drastically important and long-overdue discoveries and decisions: a) I am not 18, 19, 20 years old. In fact, I'm 27 years old... which is a lot closer to 30 than it is to 20. Despite the fact that I don't FEEL like someone who's almost... well, you know... the number that comes after 29... I need to present myself in a more professional manner - consistently, which wasn't a problem before - but I would let my personal life interfere with every other aspect of my life and it just sucked. From now on, when I'm working on whatever side of the lens I happen to be working on (I'm a photographer as well, #233031), that's all that there is. I feel... reborn. It sounds cheesy but to have my passion come back to me when I thought it was gone forever is like having a life-sentance revoked... I guess (heh, don't worry, no prison experience here)... it's like I get a second chance... they come once in a hundred billion lifetimes... so I'm taking mine and running with it... and hah, now I can say that I've never been happier :) Another thing that I learned is that YOU HAVE TO BE YOURSELF - COMPLETELY YOURSELF - AND NO ONE ELSE. Otherwise, why both? I was doing just fine before I decided to let the people I thought had my best interest at heart control me - everything from my portfolio material to my appearance to the jobs that I accepted - and heh, that wasn't me... so, of course, that wasn't working. I AM ME. I'm not an airhead by any means, I have a TON of life experience that would shock the heck out of you if I even began to get into some of it and I won't be taken advantage of (in more ways than one), so if you're searching for a pretty face to place on your blind marionette that you've constructed forever but still haven't found a face for her yet.... please, keep looking. I'm not a puppet! Most important thing I learned - art is just as alive as you and I. Art is an expression of life, without art, life would simply become stale and ordinary - painfully predictable and uniform. Perhaps that works in the military but in the living, breathing, feeling world - variety is the spice of life. Camo is the enemy, blend in and you may get lost forever... stand out. Have confidence in yourself (because if you don't, no one else will), embrace your art and don't let anything stand between you and your passion. Art lives and breathes because humans are naturally passionate beings - let's keep it that way, in fact... let's celebrate it! As for how I work/ what I shoot/ what I want to shoot/ what I've shot and all the nitty gritty - well, here's the express version. A more thorough and less frantic version can be found at a) Genres - Fine Art Nude, Artistic Nude, Glamour Nude, (lol... nudes are good!), fashion, swimsuits, alt/goth, figure modeling, body painting canvas, acting, underwater modeling & acting, singing, dancing (and yeah, I've been the type of dancer that immediately comes to mind BUT I also have 16 years worth of ballet, modern, jazz, tap and hip-hop training - including 18 months in Russia and the Ukraine with various ballet companies, performances way too many modern dance companies to attempt to begin to count), also into narrative art and anything that tells a story. I love fashion and fashion modeling - especially editorial fashion - but I'm aware of the fact that reality made me 5'3" so that's kind of a ridiculous long-shot... but I'm pretty much up for anything! b) Compensation - aye, everyone hates talking about this, so i'm just going to say that I work a pretty even mix of paid shoots and trade shoots, I like it that way, for more information please contact me personally. If asking for a price for something specific, heh, include specific information! c) Location - well, I live in MD most of the time, when I'm not in MD i'm in DE and after September add Dallas to the list, so I'm kind of available everywhere. I love road trips (I don't fly) and I love to go new places so do not hesitate to invite me to the other side of the country or beyond! I'm always down for a road trip! Last little things... If I do say so myself, I'm fun to work with and at my shoots everyone has a great time - work hard, great images, great times! Would also like to get into some interesting commercial work... hit me up, I'm game for pretty much anything (except for anything that would fall into the the "adult entertainment industry" category... don't even ask, I'm a very happily married woman, my husband doesn't like me doing that kind of work regardless of how well you're going to pay me) - I'm a model, not a porn star! But I always have fun, I always take my work 500% seriously and I stand behind the fact that I have ALWAYS been able to guarantee results and deliver beyond expectations :) Rock and roll... let's make some art!
