I am a professional model, meaning- I am a Sports/Fitness model, a commercial person who is best suited for film, commercials, print work, catalog, product, fashion, casual, swimwear, formal wear, fine art, art, hair, parts, underwear and glamour, but I am not a promotional model and with that being said, please contact Merrick Talent, should you be interested in booking me for any of your projects, thank you. Personally, I am chameleon of characters, really, but just a guy from Kansas City, City of Fountains, living in Portland, the City of Roses, for the past 12 months anyways, and I've worked diligently to improve my standing, within the city of Portland, while assuming great responsibilities, such as hosting and assisting with projects like Portland Fashion Week of 2008, while working as an assistant to the board and specifically the creative director. Since relocating myself, I've met some wonderful people, who have been kind enough to offer expertise and suggestions to assist me in my modeling pursuits, as well as a wonderful mentor and photographer to help cultivate one of my favorite hobbies. I am a Personal Trainer and Self-Defense instructor by day, as well as a professional actor/model in my off time, who constantly and continuously invests time and money to improve in the efforts required to be successful in the industry, while working towards a little success with some truly genuine individuals in the North-West. Having said that, work, modeling or otherwise, should always be conducted in a professional manner. This I expect, while noting that my former career was working as a District Loss Prevention Manager for one of the largest retail companies in the world, while commanding a 106M annual budget and supervising 27 stores over an area of 6 states. Yes, I have high expectations, of myself, , the people I work with and the companies that I associate myself with. "Professional people act professionally, in addition to providing a service, at the expense of time, investments, etc.... Professionals spend much of their lives in strife, hoping to succeed or become better, and working tirelessly to improve in areas that have room for such improvements. In addition, I spent much of my work week sitting in court, seeking restitution from those that have difficulty playing by the rules, so I merely ask that there exist some reverence and respect for protocol and procedure, within my endeavors. I am an experienced model, yet I would like to learn much more, while maintaining that I am an accomplished actor/interrogator, as well, haha. I love learning about other cultures and time periods, so to be able to share in those things, via imagination and creative collaboration, while trying to create a specific image; I find enjoyment in the effort, as well as the process and minutiae, for both seem as refreshing as a vacation to me and I love it. If I were to create my own image, I would prefer to work on projects that have class and sophistication, hoping to help define the modern gentleman through action, rather than hype. Besides, what ever happened to the man's man, it's still a classic role, and one that I like. I learn languages briskly and speak Japanese reasonably well. Right now, I'm working hard to try and find an Agency that is not only well established, but truly representative of their people, and who would be interested in representing me. I like to work and always work harder, even while working smarter. I work my tail off at every job, trying to constantly learn more and hoping to improve my skills, so please feel free to offer advice, because I truly seek it. I'm always pleased to meet models who are interested in working together on a project, particularly since I'm new to the area. I would still like to contribute some of my efforts to the addition of photos to my portfolio; however, I also believe that film is where my future has the most potential growth. I have little to no interest in doing any nude photography, unless it is for those I have worked with previously or there are enough zeros and- no..., I mean that, and I do have a great deal of interest in acting assignments and working closely with with free thinkers, ;-), hence me being particular about some projects, while being open minded to others. As for modeling, I believe that I'm best suited for Sports Fitness, Glam, Parts, Fashion, Commercial, Print, Etc..., if I am to re-iterate, once more. As for acting roles, with either film or theater, I prefer and am usually best suited for classics, action, drama, suspense, thriller, horror, etc.... Martial Arts films would be fun, as well, and I have often wanted to do my own choreography, since I am well suited for it. *I firmly believe, while speaking of my own pursuits, that I can best contribute my own talents by keeping energy levels high and light heart-ed, as well as by remembering the task and trying to become the character or subject that is being lived vicariously through me. This is how I feel productive and something I would like to contribute to others and their works. Should you be interested in working with someone who will be serious about the assignment, as well as happy to be there, I'd like to talk to you about creating something that we can all be proud of. I'm always interested in making new friends, as well, but I only care to do business with those that are willing to put forth strong ideas for strong images and those that are sincere in their pursuit to create something original, unique, vivid powerfully passionate pieces that are full of class, quality and sophistication. This is true, whether the project be art or ad space, either way.
