New model agency in town so apply for employment as photographer.
Told to expect two models one male, one female for a basic B&W fashion shoot
So comes today and they turn up,.... all three of them, two girls and a boy.
Very much despite being over 21 still boy and girls.
None of whom can be called models yet all claim to have experience.
Such hard work trying to get a decent pose out of them even getting them to stand close together was a chore as they would brust into embrased giggles at the drop of a hat.
Don't think that I'm going to expect much work from this agency if this is their standard, I can't see them lasting very long.

New camera with excellent low light features want to play with......
Book model but has not spent enough time planning low light shoot.
Thankfully experienced model has head screwed on the right way and turns what at any other time an embrassment into a great shoot with some great pictures.

I don't like group shoots.
But I'd forgotten and went on one today because I thought it'd be a good way to network.
In truth there were some lovely models there and some of them I'd like to work with.
But you were limited to 45 minutes with each model.
I can't churn out pictures just like that, It takes me an hour to know how I want to shoot a model break the ice get warmed up.
Which leads me to my other complaint. It was bugging freezing and the other(Supposed) Photographer were sending these models to strip off and freeze their bits off.
Not that I haven't in the past but I have always had a warm place set up somewhere near for the models to retreat to if needed.

Had another young lady come around for a test shoot, and I duely worked my way through the test shoot program making only little tweaks along the way as it was only her third shoot.
As it was a glorious sunny day outside I suggest that we shoot the last set of her in jeans and t-top out under the trees making use of the huge new reflectors I got last year.
Look of horror comes over her face. Aparently real shoots are only done in studios only cheap ones are done outside.
So I guess she won't be interested in my shoot in the Spanish villa this summer.

Not the brightest idea I've ever had but I booked three models for an art nude shoot.
Didn't work!
Didn't help matters that I'd booked a studio that I hadn't used before because it was halfway closer to everyone than mine. Turned out to be way too small, must learn to convert metric into feet and inches...
And the posing was really awkward, you'd fit two people together nicely but the third just didn't fit.
Anyway lesson learned stick to two

Pearl & Alexandrite are both commonly used for this month. Pearls are formed inside a mollusk, a response to an irritant felt by the animal. They can be found in many shades of whites, and many shapes- from perfectly round to fanciful baroque. Alexandrite is one of the few color-change stones. It will appear to be different colors in natural and flourescent lighting. It is rare in it's natural form, but can be found in a synthetic form, with the same color-change properties.
Pearls are attributed to the Goddess Venus as a symbol of innocence. Alexandrite was named for Czar Alexander II.
