What can I say, I'm a photographer in PA that produces true garage glamour. I keep it light and fun. People always tell me I turn out a fantastic product, hope you agree. If you're just starting, feel free to give me a shout, I have no problems doing TFCD for new models. Hell I'll probably feed you too. Oh, I shoot to classic rock so be prepared to hear bands you never thought existed.

SInce I'm a gold member I get notified of new models that may or may not want to get some of my images for their portfolios. If you're a new model now you know why so many photogs are contacting you so fast. It's one of the nicer things about this site, you can get some free networking and maybe som great images for your portfolio. Which brings me to the subjct of this blog. New Model portfolios. YEah, I realize you are just starting or are new to this particular site, but remember, your portfolio page is your resume. People come by to see what you look like and what you are interested in doing as a model. If all you have is a few shots of yourself taken by you with a cell phone in your bathroom, hallway, messy bedroom, how do you think this is going to look to a potential client? Get some good shots you are proud of that show you as a gifted beautiful, sexy professional. That's what the whole TFCD/TFP thing is about, you geting o meet photographers, get some images, get your name around so with any luck one day someone will remember you and give you the big break. Remember when you are dealing with people to be honest. If you need a make up artist or hair stylist to get a finnished look you need to speak up, but you also ned to understand not every photographer has one on staff and demanding that someone pay for one for you is rued. If you ask, you can probably work out a deal with both the photog and the MUA so everyone shares the images for their portfolios. These things need to be updated routinely or you look stagnant. Also if you set up a time and date to shoot, either make the appointment or get on the phone or send a thousand text messages or e-mails so no one is left waiting and you turn out to be a no show. So I'm new to this blog , be gentle with me. I was contactd by a model the other day/ week, time runs together now and then, and I was asked about paying models. I told her I pay when I'm shooting for a client that is paying the bills but don't have a cash flow right now to do much more than cover expenses, a meal or three, and hand over some photos you'll be proud of. I then asked what she normaly pays photographers for her photos. She was less than happy with the response from me, but I'm not on to beat around the bush and blow smoke up your ass. I look at this as a two way street, a colaboration betwen model and photographer to benefit each other. If my portfolio sucks you won't be interested in working with me likewise if your portfolio suck, noone will be interested in paying you either. I'm currently working a deal with a hairstylist / make up artist in my arrea that has been doing it for thirty five years and taught for the John Casablanca School of Modeling. Yep, she has a clue and is very good at it while being down to earth. If anyone wants a shoot and needs her skilled hands, it'll cost $30.00 an hour for her. Hey good help ain't cheap and she will de a phenomenal job. Well, that's about it for now, gotta run some CDs out to clients and then clean the digs.
