Winter is subsiding…the warm months follow…everyone comes out of hibernation!

Although I hope to shed those extra winter pounds with the warmer months approaching, but many of my models are still on the ice cream diet to gain some pounds!!! What is up with that???

With that said, I am here in 2006 with a new camera, new equipment, and new connections!

I just finished a phenomenal shoot with model Said (Sae-eed) and there is more to follow!

Just taking a quick break...until I get back to the photography! ;)

My picture of Zoe made showcase! I knew it would happen eventually! I wish Zoe much success in L.A! I hope they spare some room for me!

I just wrapped up the JaneBlu Couture project...you can see the finished product at Janeblu.c0m . My photographs are featured in the "Showroom" section. I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! I especially enjoyed photographing my OMP models: Zoe, Jennie, and Victor together. All of them will go far in this profession. I also want to thank Barbara, Zoe's mom, for opening doors of opportunity for me. Without Barbara, I don't know what I would do. She is a model's "dream mom!" I don't know of too many parents willing to go beyond and above towards their child's dream!

I will be shooting a wedding on 2/11...gotta buy a suit to wear...the suits I own were so tailored...they don't fit!

Photography is so addictive!

(P.S. IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF WHEN THE OMP SOFTWARE REJECTS URL'S!...ESPECIALLY URLS THAT DISPLAY MY WORK ON DESIGNER'S WEBSITES!)

I finally returned EVERYONE'S calls!!! LOL!

Coming home from work, I spent an hour in Atlanta's infamous traffic! Atlanta's traffic is worse than L.A's...because at least the traffic moves in L.A.!!!

To make the time seem less stressful, I begin my phone calls!

I recently befriended an OMP member that I wanted to shoot...BUT, as fate would have it, he was scouted by a ***phenomenal*** OMP photographer and flown to New York- where he signed a 3 year contract with a reputable agency. This all happened in a month's time! He had only been on OMP for less than six months! (Yes, people look here...which is why I joined!)

Being a new model in a new location, can seem very lonely...so I told him to feel free to call anytime. We both have Sprint cellphones, which means we can talk as much as we want to each other without incurring any charges...so we talked for about an hour today about his new life.

I find it truly fascinating to see a model's progress in the industry...especially in New York.

He needs to claim 6 tearsheets by a particular date set by the agency. If you or someone you know, needs a high fashion model for a professional editorial, please let me know by sending me a referral through the OMP system. Because he "needs" the tearsheets, he can do this at no cost on your behalf towards the agency...meaning: you would not have to pay the expensive hourly rates established by a New York agency. However, he will need travel expenses covered, since he has just moved to New York this January- where everday expenses are extremely high for a beginner.

His agency will be promoting him to the designers of NY's fashion week for the 2006 Fall/Winter shows that take place in February. We'll see what happens!

In addition to my friend, I know of several professional models who are interested in professional projects for tearsheets. Those interested send me a referral.

Ruby will be found in varying shades of red; deep, clear stones are desirable. Some may have seen "star rubies", these are cabachon (domed) stones that reflect an asterisk light effect on the domed surface. When flawless, a Ruby is more valuable than a diamond.
Historically, the Ruby is associated with royalty & the power or life and death. It was attributed the power to prevent loss of blood, strengthen the heart, and negate poisons. They are a cousin to the Sapphire.
