Los Angeles casting for Playboy
October 18th and 19th
Kim Mizuno, one of those eleven photographers who can honestly say he "shoots
for Playboy" - see "Who Really Shoots for Playboy" - heads up an
open casting for Playboy in Los Angeles on October 18th and 19th. You can get the specifics and sign up

The casting will be held from noon to 6pm on Wednesday the 18th and from 9am to 6pm on
Thursday, the 19th. Videographers will be shooting behind-the-scenes footage,
and Mikki Chernoff, Playboy model and photo producer, will be interviewing the
girls for Playboy TV.
Kim, who often goes by just "Mizuno," is one of the great names in glamour
photography. In addition to working with Playboy for 22 years, he is also a
noted fashion and celebrity photographer and creates the yearly East West
calendar, showcasing a selection of stunning models of Asian descent.
Kim emphasized to me the crossover factor between Playboy and his own projects.
"The girls I shoot for Playboy are a great resource when I work on my own
projects and several of my models have gone on to work for Playboy. I've also started
tapping into the One Model Place talent pool with great success. We're in the beautiful model business, so it's a perfect fit."
Kim has done countless castings for Playboy and the one mistake he
repeatedly sees is bad makeup. "Ladies, don't pile on the makeup.
Keep it simple. We want to see you...not how much makeup you have on.
When it comes time to paint your face, we know how to do it."

routinely meets the world's most famous writers, entertainers, athletes, and
politicians.
