Tech Director

J CITY Theater in downtown Jersey City (easy commute from NYC) is looking for tech director for upcoming show and possible ongoing position.

SKILLS:    basic carpentry, lighting/electric, sound, detail-oriented, team player, budget conscious, leadership, problem solver & AVAILABILITY!

Position pays $300 stipend.



TASKS:   

Implement set design.

Design, hang, focus & gel lights

Run electric cords for lighting/sound.

Setup sound design

Hang curtains

Set-up Green Room for actors.

Co-ordinate props/costumes with stage manager

Keep areas clean/protected (shared space)

Organize & Orchestrate strike - final night of run.



CALENDAR:



First Rehearsal - Saturday, March 16th 10am - 2pm

Opening Night - Friday, April 19th

Closing Night -  Saturday, May 4th



Tech work can begin as early as March 10th - but must be completed for beginning

of Tech Rehearsals: April 12th. Access to the space is open and flexible.



Salary: $300.00 stipend
