ALL ACTORS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO AUDITION, REHEARSE, AND PERFORM IN NYC. NO HOUSING PROVIDED.



Understudies will rehearse with the touring company, however they will not travel with the company on the road. Understudies are only for NYC 10 week sit down in partnership with the DR2 Kids Theatre (Daryl Roth, Producer). NYC run begins performances on Friday, November 16, 2012 and officially opens on Sunday, November 18 (4 p.m.). The production concludes its limited engagement on Sunday, January 27, 2013.



Seeking performers who are versatile, with a good sense of physicality, musicianship (piano plunking, kazoo-playing, carrying a tune) as well as a great sense of humor.



ALL ACTORS ARE SIGNED ON AS ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS. Actor/ASMs are required to unload/load, setup and/or strike the set. No single piece of scenery shall exceed such proportions of height or weight as to make it impossible to be carries reasonably by two members of the company.



SEEKING NON-AEA ACTORS FOR:



Male Understudy (to cover):



[MAN 1] 18+ male to play a number of characters, including a boy with a big imagination and a beloved stuffed rabbit; a piratical boat; and an old and wizened rocking horse. AND [MAN 2] 18+ male to play a number of characters including a slick talking Lion, a maternal Nanny, and an all-business doctor. Must be comfortable singing a simple melody, a capella. MUST BE SKILLED WITH DIALECTS.



Female Understudy (to cover):



[WOMAN 1] 18+ female to play the title Rabbit, earnest and sincere, with an endearing innocence and optimistic outlook.
