One of them recently returned to town from afar, his name is Cory. Cory invites his friend, Harry, over for dinner after settling down. Harry has stronger feeling towards Cory than just friendship, but Cory doesn’t know this.Throughout the night, Harry has an internal struggle on whether or not he should leave a prewritten note of confession for Cory before leaving. But before Harry is able to leave, a girl comes to the front door and is greeted by Cory with a warm hug. Harry realizes this girl is a potential love interest and goes to snatch the note that he left on top of the toilet when he went to the restroom. As Harry rushes to leave Cory’s, Cory catches up to him and gives him a tight hug and a pat on the shoulder. Harry isn’t completely satisfied but he knows that Cory somewhat understands.

Character Breakdowns:

Harry. I’m 25. I live near Portland, where the nineties never left. I read quite a bit, but not for fun. I read to stay informed on the status quo, current and prior, just to know where I stand in the midst of things. I’m about 5”10’ with a gymnast’s build. I am a product of my environment, and so is my wardrobe. My best friend, Cory just returned from his freelance journalism endeavors in the Ivory Coast. The guy has quite the eye whenever you need to frame a moment in time. He was the photographer at my sister’s wedding many falls ago; his compensation was a twelve-pack and white cake. It wasn’t until recently that he found the spark needed to get his ass out of the city. But I didn’t know how much I’d miss the son of a bitch until he came back after fifteen months. We met up that same night to trade war stories. His house oddly still smelled the same, even after the extended period of vacancy. He always had a sincere smile. I guess I didn’t want to lose that, so I pocketed the note that I wrote, and left. Like nothing ever happened.

Cory. I’m 26 and a Portland native. I’m a journalist for the local newspaper. I know it’s not a steady job, but my previous one was generous enough to supply me with a good sum of savings. The price for generosity: a fucking tie and slacks to work. My trip to the Ivory Coast was beyond words, which is where the photos come into play. I met a fourteen-year-old aspiring soccer player, and the kid could ball. So I decided to follow him around and collect stories from his friends to compile a piece for the sports section. It took a longer time than I initially assumed. I met a girl there. She wasn’t a native; she was a documentarian for the Travel Channel. We stayed in touch when we came back stateside. I invited her over the night I got back to town. I also met up with Harry. He’s the fucking man. I remember the guy could run a 10.2 on a 100-meter back in college like nothing. We always got along since childhood and I could tell that it crushed him when I left. But he’s not the one to convey feelings on his face. I was ecstatic to spend some time with him, but in all honesty, he seemed a bit unsettled. I’m sure its nothing too serious.

Prepare a short, contemporary musical theatre song and a short song from the "Golden Age" of musical theatre. Songs should not exceed one verse or one chorus in length. Seeking submissions from actors and actresses for a wide variety of student films. These films are final projects at a private high school in the Bronx (location of filming varies by project).

The audition will take place in midtown Manhattan, on Saturday, February 23rd, from 2:00-4:00pm. This is not an open call. As these are student films on a very low budget, we can’t offer monetary compensation. You’ll receive credit, copies of the film (anything that you need for your reel), and you’ll be invited to our end of the year film festival / awards ceremony. Having said that, please keep in mind that although these are student films, the students are being graded on how professionally they treat the entire process. Your feedback about your experience will play a large role in that! You will be using your special talents to help an educational endeavor, and hopefully you’ll have a great time in the process. Casting males age ranges 21-35. This is part of a new scripted one act stage scene from a full length comedy production. After Paul is caught in a lie by his roomie Alan, he is put to the test for stealing his socks and not paying his share of the rent. Paul buys his way out of trouble by consenting to Alans dare by indulging in his interest in socks and feet. An in your face sadistically funny/situation video that calls for two handsome strong actors that are not afraid to push the envelope.

CHARACTERS:

Paul: 21-26, trim, wirey, nervous personality but sweet. A total sock/foot lover, must be able to go the distance with this role, seeking a totally uninhibited actor that can portray a very realistic character with a very strong interest in the subject matter.

Alan: 21-35, tough, bully type, but loves to be a prankster, must be able to put Paul through his paces in a comedic/sadistic way, wears a very large shoe size.

Each actor will be paid a stipend of $100.00 the day of taping. Actors will be needed for a total of 2 hours only.

MAN [AGE: 20-30] He loves his girlfriend, but recently he has had doubts whether it will work. After moving into their first house, He thought things would be perfect, but his girlfriend has been acting crazy. Her mood is constantly changing and she seems more aggressive than before. He can only hope that she is carrying and extra life inside and not just losing her mind.

STUDENT#1 [MALE] [AGE: 18-25] He hasn’t left his dorm room in days. He has been hiding in there ever since he started hearing the strange thoughts. A freshman in college, he has no close friends or family to turn to with his concerns so he is trying to uncover the truth himself.

STUDENT #2 [MALE][AGE: 18-25] He is a freshman in college and trying to make his way through the day to day. Things are starting to get more stressful for him since his roommate started acting funny. He isn’t sure whether he should get help or confront the problem himself but he has had enough of his roommate’s manic behavior.

MOTHER [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 25-35] Mother has always been complacent raising her child and keeping the house clean while her husband works, but lately the stress of being everyone’s taxi while feeding everyone and cleaning up after them has been overwhelming.
