Crystal Williams is a walking Mary J. Blige album. The song that best describes her at this moment is “No More Drama”. She may have intelligence and looks but her finances are depleted and she does not “have it going on!” Crystal was a writer at a successful magazine company called Fly Magazine, where she met her ex-husband and chief editor of the magazine Patrick Moore. Patrick and Crystal agreed that it would be in their best interest for her to quit Fly Magazine. Crystal decided to divorce Patrick after finding out from her good friend Shawnee he was cheating on her. The divorce left her with debt and a beautiful house…that she couldn’t afford.
After realizing her savings wasn’t enough to pay the mortgage and maintain her lifestyle, Crystal decides to move in her two good friends Shawnee and Mike. Crystal tries to mediate the tension between Shawnee and Mike at first; however she is far from perfect. She shows deficiency in the love department. Men are intimidated by Crystal’s demeanor and she often settles for a dead beat, control freak or a momma’s boy. Not only that but she is also having trouble finding her way back into being a successful writer in Atlanta, Ga.
