Short rehearsal period over December and January-must have availability over the holiday break to rehearse. Not the entire holiday week, but three-four rehearsals during the time between 12/20-and 1/2.

Victor – Male -Italian American, early 50s. Knew Sister Rose since he was six. Found standing in the Ortiz funeral home in his underwear.
Balthazar – Male – Latino, mid-30s. Carries a half pint bottle. A detective. A former student of Sister Rose. He has lost his son.
Rooftop – Male – African American, mid-40s. Walter “Rooftop” Desmond. Takes confession – the first in at least 15 years; a self proclaimed lyin’, cheatin’, stealin’, humpin’, bad man.” Also very funny. A Radio Show Host in L.A..
Father Lux – Male – White, mid-70s. Impatient. Professional confessor. Lost his legs in Korea. Enjoys a triple Manhattan from time to time.
Flip – Male – African American, late-30s. Alias Robert but hates being called by his real name. Gail’s “partner.” Also drinks from a flask. A Lawyer.
Gail – Male – White, late-30s. An Actor – IN Wisconsin! Gay. Claims NOT to be a “drama Empress” but having trouble not being one! “I’m like a young Al Pacino: Intense, soulful.”
Inez – Female – African American, late-30s. Divorced Rooftop 15 years ago. High energy! Worried about aging though. Foul mouth gangster language.
Edwin – Male – Latino, late-30s. Sister Rose’s student since Homeroom first grade. Assigned to give the eulogy. Pinky’s brother – may have hit him in head with brick when they were younger.
Pinky – Male – Latino, late-30s. Three girlfriends – two are pretty. Suffers from head injury – Edwin’s brother- “slow.”
Marcia – Female – White, mid-30s. Sister Rose’s niece.
Sonia – Female – White, early 30s. From Connecticut.
The role of Norca is cast.
